The tennis star Maria Sharapova is got engaged to boyfriend Sasha Vujacic of the L.A. Lakers, her agent confirmed yesterday to CNBC.
Sasha is a basketball star 26 years old, he popped the question to three-time Grand Slam champion Maria Sharapova 23 years old, on Tuesday at his home from Manhattan Beach, Califrornia.
The young couple first stepped out together last November at a U2 concert in Los Angeles. Russia born Sharapova joined her beau at IMG Academy in Florida over the summer and in Italy for a romantic vacation.
Slovenia born Sasha Vujacic said they’ve “helped each other” in their respective sports. “As two pro athletes, in different sports, we both understand what the other is doing and going through, and what it takes to do well in what we do,” he told NBA Fan House. “She’s working hard. I’m working hard. It’s good together.”
