The singer LeAnn Rimes has insisted she has “no regrets” about the affair with the actorEddie Cibrian which ended both their marriages.
She said:”What happened is not who I am, period,” she added “But I do know how much I love him. So I’ve always said I don’t live my life with regret. I can’t.”
Eddie Cibrian also talked in the interview, for the first time since falling for singer LeAnn.
He said:”The truth is that we’re human beings,” he added “We make mistakes and we learn from them, but we’re human. We fell in love. We’re talking about something that’s over a year, year and-a-half old, really, and we’re still together, and we’re madly in love.And I think people are finally seeing that, but it doesn’t mean that people will accept it or the tabloids will stop trying to print lies and try to tear us apart or tear us down.”
The fresh couple spoke out on In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: All Access Nashville, which airs tonight in the U.S.
The singer LeAnn Rimes, 28 year-old, was married to dancer Deane Sheremet when she fell for the actor Eddie Cibrian, 37 year-old, as they filmed Northern Lights last year.
Eddie in turn was married to model Brandi Glanville, with whom he has two small children.
LeAnn Rimes said: “It happens every day to so many people. And if I take away my album sales, my words… you have just another couple.You had two couples whose marriages didn’t work who really stumbled upon each other and fell in love.” she added “Nothing I’m going to say is going to change it. I do know that and I have accepted that.”
The Country singer LeAnn later tweeted to her fans that she would not talk about the situation again: ‘I’m trying to talk past this, so my music is priority.This will be the last time I speak about this situation.”
