In Orange Country 20 illegal immigrants arrested

20 Mexican nationals were arrested early on Monday by the Border Patrol agents in San Clemente during a smuggling attempt.
The agents patrolling the coast detected a small fishing boat with several occupants approaching shore around 3 a.m., and as the boat landed at Calafia Beach, those aboard attempted to flee.

Agents caught 17 men and three women trying to flee the vessel, and one of the people apprehended was a woman, 36, who broke her leg while jumping from the boat, and she was hospitalized, for the treatment. The remaining 19 people were taken to a Border Patrol station for processing, this investigation is to identify and prosecute the individuals responsible for this smuggling attempt, the Associated Press said.
