Vladimir Putin may run again for the Russian presidency

Rumors say that the Prime Minister Vladimir Putin may run again for the Russian presidency after he drew a surprise comparison with four-term US president Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Putin says he has not ruled out standing for president again at the 2012 elections.

He also mentioned that  he would share power with current President Dmitry Medvedev until the election, when they would decide “what would be best for Russia”.

He said he was in no rush to see the body of Soviet leader Vladimir Lenin taken from its mausoleum in Red Square.

He  accused small groups of anti-government protesters in Russia of  provoking police brutality on purpose.

He said that some people, just wanted to be beaten by truncheons.

Mister Putin took a break in2008 after two consecutive four-year terms as president.Lucky for him,the term in office has since been extended to six years, making him eligible to stand again.

When asked about it, he told an audience of Russian citizens “I will think about it”.
